There is no other website in the UK door and window industry that reviews products the way we do.

Every review on this page is written by Nick Dardalis, who has worked in the UK fenestration industry since 1989. That means nearly four decades of hands-on experience with aluminium, uPVC, timber, steel look, composite and hybrid systems.  This expertise extends across every product category, every price point, and virtually every brand.

Our reviews are built on assessment of technical documents, factory visits, showroom assessments, and real installation environments.

We tell you what the brochure won’t. We tell you what the salesperson can’t. And where a better or more suitable alternative exists, we’ll tell you that too.

No other door and window website does this. No newspaper, no home improvement magazine, no AI-generated comparison site comes close to the depth and accuracy of what you’ll find here.

How we score our reviews:

5 — Exceptional. Sets a new standard in its category or offers something genuinely unavailable elsewhere.
4 — Very good. Well engineered, well made, does everything it should and does it well.
3 — Good. A solid, reliable product that meets industry standards without standing out.
2 — Adequate. Does the job but has notable compromises in design, hardware or finish quality.
1 — Below standard. Significant concerns about quality, performance or value.
